I have always been a sports fanatic. In case you are wondering I am a Yankees, Bills, Islanders fan. Yes not your normal fan but love those teams. Through the years it has been hard to balance watching sports and hearing myself and my husband cheer for different teams. He is a Mets, Jets and Islanders fan. This time of year is particular rough. I want to cheer tonight for Monday Night Football (even though the Bills lost with 2 seconds left) they showed alot of potential as I scream and cheer, and scream some more as the Yankees blow another playoff series. Then my Husband complains he wants some sleep.
So what do you do? Get separate bedrooms so we do not disturb eachother? Or earplugs? Neither of us will ever change the teams we love. We can only agree on sports from November to February. It's hard for me not to tell Jeter to ---- off when he hits into a double play with men on first and third and one out. And how can I shut up when the Bills defense was top notch in getting five turnovers tonight.
Basically we will always agree to disagree. I am sure relationships go through this all the time. SO I still will always ask myself, how can I get my husband to be a Yankees and Bills fan? I am sure it will never happen.....
